Jamie Esler, CFA®, CFP®

Jamie Esler is a South Carolina native, hailing from the Blue Ridge Mountains in an old railroad town called Central. After graduating D.W. Daniel High School in 2007, Jamie attended the University of South Carolina on a partial golf scholarship. Jamie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. In Accountancy. Following college, Jamie moved to San Diego with the intention for a Masters (MACC) degree, but chose instead to pursue personal financial planning as a profession. Over the span of almost 12 years in San Diego, Jamie worked for New York Life Insurance as a team lead, for Merrill Lynch as a private client financial advisor, and most recently owned and operated a registered investment advisory.

After getting married, Jamie and his wife Shar moved from San Diego to Charleston to provide a Southern upbringing. They have a daughter, Emerald who was born in Charleston. Jamie is passionate about getting to know people in all walks of life and in his spare time, he will be spending time with other Charlestonian families at the beach, by the pools, or at the golf course. Jamie holds the series 65 license, is a Certified Financial Planner and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is one of our Charleston based advisors.
